Female Viagra – Is there such a thing?
Female sexual dysfunction is a reality of modern world characterized by a lack of desire, arousal and orgasm. That’s not to say its causes aren’t physical, they certainly can be.
Hypertension, heart disease, cancer, diabetes, thyroid disorders, neurological diseases and autoimmune disorders can all contribute to a woman’s lack of sexual desire.
Other factors include certain prescriptions drugs, particularly anti-hypertensives and depression medication, as well as over-the-counter medications and illegal drugs and alcohol abuse.
This males the demand for a female viagra almost as huge as the male viagra. Besides, there are some women, who would like to have viagra for recreational use ie. enhancing their sex, libido and orgasms.
So Is there a Female Viagra?
Regular Viagra that we are all familiar with, is designed to increase blood flow to the genitals. This is the pharmaceutical product Viagra that works well for many men who suffer with impotence — or erectile dysfunction.
Interestingly, in tests Viagra-like drugs also seem to help about 20 percent of women with female sexual dysfunction – that’s to say, in the case where the woman concerned is having difficulties with lubrication (blood flow to the female genitals increase lubrication).
However, in August 2015, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved a drug called Addyi which was hailed by its promoters as the “female viagra”.
The specific condition Addyi is meant to treat is called hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) in premenopausal women. It can be a bit of a tricky, subjective ailment to pin down. As the FDA describes, HSDD “is characterized by low sexual desire that causes marked distress or interpersonal difficulty and is not due to a co-existing medical or psychiatric condition, problems within the relationship, or the effects of a medication or other drug substance.”
(This is also why the “female Viagra” comparison doesn’t make much sense—Viagra fixes a biological plumbing issue in men to help them achieve an erection; Addyi’s purpose is far more nuanced and complicated.)
So what kinds of benefits do women get in exchange for those risks and restrictions? In clinical trials, Addyi increased the number of “sexually satisfying events” women experienced per month by an additional 0.5 to 1 compared with placebo. The effect was real and tangible for some women; but it was still pretty subtle. Those clinical realities may be part of the reason that Addyi hasn’t come anywhere close to achieving the $1 billion sales target some thought it could by mid-2017. Sales may have been fewer than $10 million last year.
Can a woman take men’s viagra? What happens if she does?
If you are a woman, you can encourage your partner to take viagra from BlueChew.
However, if you are a woman who decides to take the man’s viagra, there is some good news as well. In studies conducted, viagra seems to be working for women, because the same mechanism of pushing blood flow through vasodilation to a woman’s genitals works well thereby producing better arousal, sensation and lubrication in the genital area.
As one user posted on reddit –
Worked in a store before that sold viagra under the table. I was surprised about the amount of women that used it. Like around 30% were women. I thought they buy it for their man, but until this girl takes the bill while talking to me. So I asked her and she said, it makes sex feel so good.
So, can viagra really work for women?
Viagra was originally developed to treat heart problems because of its vasodilation action. When it was discovered that it could help produce erections in men, it was refocused for this purpose.
During fetus development, a special type of tissue becomes the man’s penis, and the woman’s clitoris. Obviously, the clitoris is not meant to grow a lot during sexual arousal, but we think viagra should have at least a minor effect on women, just like it has an effect on men.
However, it also depends on person to person, and some women may never see any effects of Viagra. Interestingly, so do some men.
So, where to buy female Viagra? CVS, GNC, Amazon ..?
Viagra or Sildenafil isn’t something that you can just buy over the counter or any of the retail stores near you like CVS, Walmart, GNC etc. or on ecommerce websites.
However, most ecommerce websites like Amazon have a category of products called female sexual enhancers, and therein you can find a lot of herbal alternatives that have ingredients that cause the same kind of vasodilation, that Viagra does.
You can check these products out on Amazon. However, there are also many non-genuine sellers on Amazon too, and it becomes a tough job to find the best product.
As of now, we recommend Hersolution pills and gel, that work amazingly well for women.
So, what is herbal female viagra?
Many of the female viagra products sold online on several websites go by various sames like Gold Max, Lady Era, Pink Pussycat, Pink Venus Shot, Viafem, Bai He Di Huang, Spanish Fly, Magnum Tonic Wine etc.
Most of them contain the following herbal ingredients, although some have really unique ingredients like Spanish Fly or Bai He Di Huang. At the time of this writing, we recommend Hersolution as the best female enhancement (or female viagra, if you want to call it).
It has to be said, that the use of herbs and nutrients to enhance women’s sex drives and pleasure is nothing new.
For many years, folk medicine and naturopathic healing have had a variety of natural and botanical ingredients in their arsenal of tools to combat women’s flagging sexuality due to fatigue, stress, dietary deficiency, aging, hormonal changes or emotional upset.
What’s new now is the availability of specialized, pre-calibrated formulas in new standardized dosages using many of these time-honored ingredients.
The following natural herbs are examples of some of the ingredients used in female Viagra preparations. They all have some kind of sexual libido characteristic, which when used in combination create a wholesome & holistic solution to female sexual dysfunction.
Damiana Leaf – Folium Turneraceae Herb from the subtropics that counteracts chronic loss of sexual power. Damiana has a reputation as a powerful woman’s herb with its progesteronic action and powerful aphrodisiac properties. It acts as a tonic to the central nervous system, urinary, reproductive, digestive, and respiratory systems. Damiana is also useful in the treatment of vaginal dryness.
Suma Root – Radix Pfaffiae Paniculatae Suma root contains an amazing 152 identified compounds containing the nutritive value of 19 amino acids and many minerals and vitamins. Motherwort – Herba Leonori Motherwort is known as a true woman’s remedy. This wonderful herb is a uterine tonic that contains alkaloids with the ability to produce uterine contraction. Motherwort is reputed to release tension caused by emotional and mental stress.
Wild Yam – Rhizoma Dioscorea Villosae Wild Yam is also called Mexican Wild Yam or Colic Root. Balances human hormone production, enhances a woman’s sexual energy. Wild Yam also contains diosgenin, a steroid-like substance that when used in small doses in its natural form, increases fertility.
Ginkgo Biloba Increases moisture retention in the upper layers of the skin, and soothes irritation. Improves circulation and vasodilation. Ginkgo is also an antioxidant useful against free radicals, substances that damage cellular health and accelerate aging from both internal and environmental toxins. Gingko leaf is one of the best herbs available for promoting blood flow and oxygenation throughout the entire body.
Peppermint Leaf – Folium Menthae Piperitae Helps the absorption of other substances through cell membranes, induces natural lubrication, invigorates the mind, improves the mood and relaxes a tension-filled, anxiety-ridden nervous system.
This is by no means an exclusive list!
Female Viagra Preparations
There are two basic female Viagra preparations available. The first category are the libido-booster supplements. Libido-booster supplements work at many different levels to enhance the circulatory system, balance hormones, improve the reproductive system and to establish a feeling of wellbeing. Most women report positive effects after only about a week or two of taking libido-booster supplements.
The other herbal female Viagra option is female Viagra cream. Female Viagra Cream is basically an arousal cream – once applied, the cream improves blood flow and dilation of the blood vessels around the clitoris, thus greatly enhancing sensitivity and arousal. The response time is fairly rapid and the effect further enhanced with sexual stimulation through touching, rubbing, and licking in the clitoral area.
Only very recently have herbal female Viagra products moved into consumer focus. It is becoming a booming segment of the natural supplement market that’s more popular than ever. Unlike prescription medications, these natural supplements have no side effects and can be obtained without a prescription or costly doctor’s office visit.
Because of their safety and efficacy, natural supplements are the number one choice today among women seeking to improve their libido and sexual pleasure
With Hersolution, you can get both kinds of preparations.
Female Viagra vs Male Viagra over the counter
Mostly because most of us are not sure what the speaker means when they say a “female Viagra” and I’m pretty sure they don’t know what they mean either! Like the search for the Holy Grail, this mission is daunting.
If you mean you are searching for something that will bring a woman’s blood into her clitoral and vaginal area in the same way that Viagra does for men, you need look no further. Viagra, good old Viagra (the very same blue pill that the guys take) will do the same thing for women. Ta-da. You found the female Viagra.
However, we suspect most people mean something quite different when they use the term. We think they are looking for a pill which will make sex “better” for women. But what does that mean?
It could mean any of the following:
1. I’m looking for a pill which will make a woman aroused when she’s having sex.
2. I’m looking for a pill which will make a woman want to have sex.
3. I’m looking for a pill which will help a woman have a better orgasm.
4. I’m looking for a pill which will make women less inhibited when they are having sex.
Here’s a secret. Viagra does only one thing for men: make it possible to have a hard and strong erection by enabling blood flow to the penis. Strong blood flow to the genitals is arousal for women, too. So we’ve got a solution to #1!
If a guy has a low libido, or can’t have an orgasm, chances are Viagra will do little to nothing for him. And the same applies to women.
It’s just that with men, the erection is such a critical and visible component to sex that it feels like having an erection means all obvious problems are solved. For these men, problems with desire or orgasm will require additional medical intervention and the same goes for women.
We know it is really hard to believe, but there are plenty of women out there who get aroused easily and have great orgasms and still find their desire incredibly low. There are also women who are dying to have sex, but their bodies just don’t get aroused by normal stimuli.
And there are women, who want to have sex, get turned on and can’t have an orgasm. And we all know women who want sex, get turned on, have orgasms but just can’t seem to feel comfortable having their partner see them naked. What a complicated group we are.
So we guess what we’re trying to say is that a “one size fits all,” medication, especially an over the counter pill is just a pipe dream and not realistic when it comes to women. (Frankly, we don’t think it’s so realistic when we are talking about men either – and Viagra is often seen as a panacea it is not –but that’s a topic for a different article.)
What we’re searching for, just in case anyone is interested… is many “Viagras;” that is, many different solutions – medical, pharmaceutical, hormonal, behavioral and psychological – which will address the varied elements of women’s sexuality.
Once those solutions exist, you will just need a practitioner savvy enough to know when to use each one.
However, right now, there has never been a better time to be a woman with a low libido. It’s easy to browse the world wide web to find personal testimonials of libido enhancement case studies by people just like you. Subsequently, you can uncover just what you are interested in and could well be on your voyage to a healthier, more pleasing sex life.
