Increasing the size of a man’s penis can be very important to him and his sex life. Everyone deserves to get what they want out of their sex life, no matter what the actions are they need to take to get there.
With a lot of dick pills sold online, it is claimed that penis size will increase and the pill is all natural.
A pill that is all natural and does work is a great combination because there is no risk of harm to your body.
However, there is a lengthy list of ingredients that can be present in any penis pill which are important to know if you are going to consume it.
Epimedium Leaf Extract
In the science world it is known as epimedium sagittatum; however you may have heard it called barrenwort, bishop’s hat, fairy wings, horny goat weed, rowdy lamb herb, or randy beef grass.
In China, it is known as yin yang huo.
As if the names don’t give it away, the plant can be used as an aphrodisiac and a treatment for erectile dysfunction.
The legend states that it was first discovered by a Chinese goat herder that noticed the increased sexual activity amongst his goats after they ate this specific plant.
It contains a substance called “icariin” which is a PDE-5 inhibitor similar to sildenafil, more commonly known as Viagra.
This means that it increases the nitric oxide in the penis during sexual arousal giving you more control over ejaculation.
It also relaxes the muscles in the shaft to allow more blood flow and increase the size of your erection .
This is the crucial ingredient because it practically forces the body to send nutrients (including the tissue building chemicals and nutrients) to your penis. This when combined with ingredients that enhance testosterone, dopamine and human growth hormone, is highly effective for male enhancement.
It has been used along with four other epimedium species as a way to treat impotence for thousands of years in China. It should be combined with other herbs, especially when used for sexual improvements.
By itself, it can cause aggressiveness, irritability and fever. But on the plus side, it can also prevent headaches while giving you an insane sex drive.
The scientific name is ginkgo biloba but it is also known as maidenhair tree. It is a true piece of history as it is one of the oldest living tree species in the world.
It can do wonders for your mind, making things more clear, enhancing your memory and improving your focus . It can also help with depression, especially depression brought on by erectile dysfunction.
It is proven to reverse the negative effects that certain antidepressants and SSRIs can inflict on your sexual performance .
Because of its anti-depression like symptoms, potential to enhance dopamine in the body and aid in tissue recovery and healing, it’s one of the best male enhancement ingredient out there.
It is said to improve a man’s desire, ability to be excited, improve orgasms and it will give you a nice glow after you finish . Ginkgo has a large amount of flavonoids which improve circulation in your body.
This explains why your mind is so much clearer, because of the increase in oxygen your brain is receiving. It also means more blood flow to your penis, leading to harder and longer erections.
Because it increases blood flow, you need to be careful using this supplement if you have a history of blood disorders, especially if you have issues with blood clotting. However, it is a very safe supplement that has proven results.
Panax ginseng is the scientific name, but it is more commonly referred to as true ginseng, ginseng, panax, or Korean ginseng.
There are other species like Red Ginseng and American Ginseng that don’t have the same results, so be sure to read the bottle carefully.
It has been used in China, Japan, and Korea for centuries as a sexual enhancement drug. It is proven to improve energy, improve vitality and helps to reverse libido loss.
Like the other supplements we have seen on the list, it is proven to improve blood circulation and increase nitric oxide synthesis, so it not only gives you a bigger erection, but it helps you control when you ejaculate .
It is also scientifically proven to increase endurance, and decrease stress so you can last longer and be more relaxed in bed.
Low stress levels and low cortisol are crucial for penis enlargement. This is because HGH )human growth hormone) is inversely related to cortisol levels.
And you definitely need to increase your HGH (the growth hormone) levels in the body, if you want your penis to grow further.
Human Growth hormone (or HGH) is required for any muscle growth, and your penis is simply a muscle that also requires this hormone to grow.
Interestingly, there are anecdotal reports of some bodybuilders who heavily use HIIT (high intensity interval training) seeing an increase in their penis size, girth wise and length wise. HIIT dramatically increase HGH.
So, the first thing you need to understand before investing in a penis enlargement pill, is you have to take a mult-ingredient product that uses several different mechanisms to influence your hormones, especially the three crucial hormones we mentioned ie. dopamine, human growth hormone and testosterone.
Studies show that those that were using panax ginseng in a controlled test experienced significantly better results in sexual function than those that were given the placebo.
60% of men taking ginseng found improvements in achieving an erection and then maintaining it. They also said they had a heightened sexual desire and satisfaction during sex. Plus they didn’t report any side effects .
You shouldn’t combine this supplement with certain drugs, so be sure to talk to a doctor to keep any side effects under control; however overall it’s a very safe drug that has proven to provide results and even help men suffering from some kind of erectile dysfunction.
Also known as cowhage seeds or velvet bean, Mucuna Pruruiens is a natural source of levodopa which is a precursor to dopamine .
Found mostly in Africa and Asia, the dopamine that is produced by this plant helps to regulate your mood and pleasurable feelings. This makes it a great way to help fight against depression and other mental disorders.
Dopamine is a natural sex enhancer. It has been proven to delay ejaculation. It can also increase the length of your erections and can help you recover faster, leaving less time in between sexual encounters.
As discussed earlier, Dopamine stimulates the part of the brain that produces human growth hormone. This hormone is what helps to make your penis bigger, which can improve your performance and make your partner happier.
It is also known to increase testosterone levels and improve your libido, especially for people that are diabetic.
Read the scientific study on HGH and penis size.
Increased libido means more blood flow to the penis which also helps increase strength and size of erections .
If you use it in excess, it can make your body feel over stimulated or restless, so just be sure you talk to your doctor to be sure you are taking the appropriate dosage.
The scientific name is ptychopetalum olacoides and it is more commonly known as potency wood or the “Viagra of the Amazon.” You may see the name spelled a variety of different ways: mara puama, marapuama, or para pama.
It is found in native Brazilian trees and it is most common to use the bark and the root. Studies have shown that people showed an increase in sexual desire after only two weeks of using the supplement.
51% of those in the study that were having erection issues said there was significant improvement and 62% found an increase in libido.
It is used as an enhancement supplement in lots of medicines for older or aging men, although it has been proven to be successful for men from a variety of different ages .
With short term use, muira puama can increase blood flow to the penis, helping you have bigger and longer lasting erections. After more long term use, people can start to feel the production of sex hormones enhanced, causing more sexual attraction.
It can be called a variety of different names: bindii, bullhead, burra gokaharu, caltrop, cat’s head, devil’s eyelashes, devil’s thorn, devil’s week, goathead, Puncture Vine, and tackweed.
It is a common Chinese aphrodisiac that is used as a natural male enhancer. It contains dioscin, diosgenin, and protodioscin which have all been proven to have a positive effect on libido, fitness, and muscle mass development .
It can increase male sexual function and increase the levels of testosterone in your system, which will improve size and sexual performance.
Studies show that in certain test subjects, testosterone levels increased up to three times after only using the supplement for five days . It enhances the androgen receptors in the brain which will increase libido .
One study shows that 85% of the men participating in the study had an increased libido after 30 days and 94% showed an increase after 60 days .
The increased testosterone can have other benefits for your body as well. It can help you increase the amount of lean muscle mass in your body and decrease body fat .
This all can help you get in better shape and give you more energy not only for everyday activities, but also in bed. More energy helps you last longer.
It is also known to produce more sperm and more viable sperm, which can be helpful for those that are having trouble shooting blanks.
Shilajit is a natural substance found in the Himalayas. It contains over 85 different nutrients, vitamins and antioxidants that are beneficial to your sexual health. People in the north of India know it as salajit, shilajatu, mimie, or mummiyo.
It is a blackish-brown powder that comes from the rocks in the Himalayas and has been used for centuries by the people to improve vitality and fight against aging (supposedly by enhancing HGH).
Shilajit is made up of lots of different antioxidants and minerals that give you energy.
Both of these qualities can be beneficial to your sex life as much as your everyday life. The extra energy gives you a new vitality in bed and the antioxidants help your body recover faster.
They also help enhance blood flow to the genitals, improving size and improving your erection. It can be used as a way to beat stress and stress is a common factor in low sex drive. By being more relaxed, you can better perform in the bedroom.
It is used as an anti-aging supplement and as you age, your libido decreases. Shilajit helps you gain more strength in your older age and improves your declining libido by increasing testosterone levels .
It can also help you gain muscle mass, making you more desirable to women and giving you more confidence to initiate some sort of sexual relationship.
Avena Sateva is an oat that has an effect on men who have difficulties holding off ejaculation. Some men are over sensitive to touch and will find themselves ejaculating within seconds after intercourse or even before it even starts, commonly referred to as premature ejaculation. Avena Sateva works to help stop premature ejaculation so that a healthy sex life can be present once again.
Saw Palmetto is frequently found in the United States, especially targeting Florida’s grounds. The most noted reason people purchase a Saw Palmetto pill is that they have done studies on people with issues in their prostate and found extreme relief from consumption of this pill. The extract that is used for medicinal purposes comes from the plant itself which sprouts a berry and flower combination.
Guarana Extract is most likely a familiar name to people when they come across reading it. It is often listed in large letters on energy beverages found in gas stations or grocery stores.
They put this extract in energy drinks because it has been tested to give a sense of energy upon consumption. If you have tried an energy drink with Guarana Extract in it, you will notice a boost in energy that will hit you immediately.
Maca root acts very similar to Guarana Extract as far as results come from after taking the product.
L-Taurine acts by many medicinal mechanisms. A few of these include the fact that this amino acid is mandatory to have in your bloodstream to survive. It does a lot for the body in keeping it safe from waste and act as a monitor to your blood sugar levels. In the category of sexual enhancement, an appropriate amount of L-Taurine keeps your sperm count up, just like Muira Puama.
L-Arginine is an additional amino acid found in the list of most dick pills ingredients.
Niacin, being an additive free vitamin from a plant, works with high cholesterol problems that may be occurring in your body. Niacin should be constantly present in everyone’s body and if this fails than a Niacin vitamin aid is appropriate.
Androstenedione is another product similar to the Macuna Prurien’s list of ingredients. This acts as a steroid for men to use to enhance their features, including muscle bulking.
Still more ingredients
With more and more research being done in producing sexual enhancement supplements, more unique ingredients are being found everyday.
We have a separate section of male enhancement pills that make use of unique or rare/exotic ingredients. Read about them here.
CORDYCEPS MUSHROOM POWDER
There are several studies proving its ability to increase sex drive and functions of sex-related organs:
“These studies show the main activities of the fungus in oxygen-free radical scavenging, antisenescence, endocrine, hypolipidemic, antiatherosclerotic, and sexual function-restorative activities. The safety of the fungus, its effects on the nervous system, glucose metabolism, the respiratory, hepatic, cardiovascular, and immune systems, immunologic disease, inflammatory conditions, cancer, and diseases of the kidney will be reviewed in the second part of this article to be published in the winter issue of this journal.“
Not only that, there are some indications that Cordyceps could promote testosterone production.
L-Arginine Hydrochloride is an amino acid that can be converted by your body to nitric oxide, a substance that can significantly improve the quality of your sex life.
Nitric Oxide makes your blood vessels expand, allowing for more blood to flow into your penis, leading to much firmer and fuller erections. There are several studies dealing with this mechanism:
“30 patients (94%) completed the whole treatment schedule. Five (17%) patients reported a significant improvement in erectile function at the end of the L-arginine phase and 6 (20%) patients after the placebo period. 17 (56%) patients showed little improvement with L-arginine and 13 (43%) with placebo. In 8 patients (27%) of the verum group there was either no change in the ED score or even a slight worsening.“
As you can see in the study above, the results are quite good. Actually, there is another excellent research study that was published in BJU International (1999) that confirms its role in increasing the nitric oxide:
“Nine of 29 (31%) patients taking L-arginine and two of 17 controls reported a significant subjective improvement in sexual function. All objective variables assessed remained unchanged. All nine patients treated with L-arginine and who had subjectively improved sexual performance had had an initially low urinary NOx, and this level had doubled at the end of the study.”
Horny Goat Weed
Viagra’s active compound, sildenafil, works by inhibiting an enzyme called phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5). Because PDE5 helps control blood flow to the penis, inhibiting PDE5 promotes male erection.
Dell’Agli and his colleagues tested the four plants in vitro to see how efficient they were at inhibiting PDE5. Just one – Epimedium brevicornum, also known as horny goat weed and Bishop’s Hat – had an effect. This confirmed previous studies showing that icariin, a compound found inside the horny goat weed, is a PDE5 inhibitor.
In addition to increasing laboratory measures of sexual arousal, it was predicted that 8 weeks daily treatment with GBE would increase more long term indices of sexual functioning, as measured by the FSFI domains of desire, arousal, lubrication, and orgasm, and by the SSS-W satisfaction domains. Partly consistent with predictions, women who received sex therapy plus GBE showed significant and substantial increases in sexual desire and contentment, and non significant increases in arousal and lubrication from baseline measures compared with women in the Placebo condition.
Ginkgo biloba possesses a component called terpenoids, which improve blood flow and therefore are important for treating erectile dysfunction. Some scientific studies backup claims that ginkgo biloba helps treat erectile dysfunction, including a study published in Human Psychopharmacology, in which the investigators reported that ginkgo had produced “some spectacular individual responses.” (Wheatley)
McKay D. Nutrients and botanicals for erectile dysfunction: examining the evidence. Altern Med Rev 2004 Mar; 9(1): 4-16

Studies have shown that taking panax ginseng makes people more able to deal with stress, both physical and emotional. Many people who have a great deal of stress in their life take this powerful herb regularly for its calming properties. While it does not make their problems go away, it does seem to enable people to deal with their stressful situations more calmly and effectively.
In conjunction with a healthy diet, panax ginseng can help people to lower their cholesterol. This is helpful given that many, many people have cholesterol levels that are significantly higher than they should be. Taking this powerful herb is of course not a replacement for a healthy diet, but it can help people who are having trouble getting their cholesterol levels under control.
Ginseng comes from two Chinese words – “man” and “root”. You can usually find it shaped like a human body and has been traditionally an herb of choice for those who want to stay healthy, alert and vigorous as well as prevent a host of diseases and ailments. For centuries now, it has been used as an aphrodisiac, analgesic, stimulant and cure-all. In fact, its genus name “Panax” (where the word panacea is derived) means “universal remedy”.
Ginseng is a vital constituent of traditional Chinese medicine and has been used to treat various physical conditions for thousands of years, importantly as an aphrodisiac and is used to treat sexual dysfunction as well as to enhance sexual behavior and gonadal functions (Fig. 1). Therefore, use of ginseng appears to be important for the development of novel therapeutics or to increase the effectiveness of the current treatment strategies for male reproductive diseases or disorders. However, its molecular mechanisms of action remain elusive. Research in this area should be carried further. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3861174/ S. W. Also known as the Velvet Bean, this plant naturally occurs in India and is used primarily for Parkinson’s disease and fertility issues. While studies showed that consuming Velvet Bean extract increased testosterone for infertile men, there seems to be little evidence of it having the same impact for those who have normal testosterone levels.
If you feel like you have ADHD tendencies, mucuna may help you stay on task. Adderall, the attention deficit drug, keeps you focused by blocking the reuptake of dopamine, so there’s more of it floating around your nervous system.
A few studies show L-dopa works as a way to boost learning and reaction time.
A study involving 120 men showed Mucuna pruriens to reduce stress and improve quality of semen in infertile men. Sixty men were undergoing infertility screening, and the other 60 were healthy men who had initiated at least one pregnancy. The men were given 5 grams of mucuna pruriens powder a day for 3 months. They were also given a psychological stress assessment, and their cortisol levels were tested. After the 3 months, the results showed a significant decrease in cortisol levels and an increase in sperm count to the same level as the fertile men.
Muira puama increased sexual desire in 60% of men with initial low libido and improved erectile function in 50% of men with a poor erection. Muira puama also improved sexual desire, sexual fantasies, and the ability to reach orgasm in 65% of women with sexual dysfunctions [R].
Moreover, muira puama increases libido. Muira puama combined with ginkgo biloba (Herbal vX, 175 mg muira puama and 16 mg of gingko) increased sex drive in 65% of 202 women who reported low sex drive [R].
Muira puama supplements of (1000 – 1500 mg daily) for 2 weeks increased libido in 60% of 262 men with low libido [R].
Muira puama (Ptychopetalum olacoides): although used in Asia, this potency wood is actually the best known Amazonian folk medicine which increases libido and penile hardness. It acts as a nerve stimulant to heighten receptiveness to sexual stimuli as well as physical sensation of sex (9). Rich in sterols e.g., sitosterol, campesterol and lupol it activates the body’s receptors for hormones like testosterone to heighten libido and enhance performance (5). Also present are volatile oils like champor which helps restore sex drive and inner depth of libido and mental ability to be aroused.
Tribulus terrestris contains protodioscin. This is thought to be the working agent it. It is considered to trigger the release of nitric oxide in corpus cavernosum tissue, and also to produce statistically significant increases in the levels of the hormones testosterone, dihydrotestosterone and dehydroepiandrosterone in animal studies. Animal studies showed greatly increased sexual behaviour. Human studies have been few and far apart.
The problem with the human studies is that they are very few and most of them are done by the order of an Bulgarian largest tribulus and health products supplier. So there are some doubts about the accuracy of their results. These studies confirm that it does indeed increase testosterone levels, erectile functions, sperm quality and volume, libido, sex drive.
Oral administration of 100 mg/kg of test drug has proven anabolic effect as evidenced by body weight gain in the body and reproductive organs. Improvement in sexual behavior of male rats was characterized by increased amount and intromission frequency. Penile erection index (PEI) was also considerably enhanced without any noticeable toxicity, and the testosterone level and sperm count also significantly increased, and the results are comparable to that of standard drug, sildenafil citrate. Findings of the present study validate the traditional use of Tribulus terrestris for its role in enhancing sexual behavior and potential to be used in the treatment of Erectile Dysfunction (ED).
So far, all Tribulus research has taken place abroad, with none in the U.S. Compared with the rest of the world, American medical researchers tend to be more wedded to laboratory-synthesized drugs and less interested in traditional medicinal herbs. American scientists generally don’t investigate botanicals until they’ve shown considerable efficacy elsewhere.

There was recently a study performed on over 75 different men. They consumed reasonable quantities of Tongkat Ali extract daily, and were compared against two control groups: one receiving placebos, and another receiving nothing at all.
The results of the study showed that the men receiving the actual Tongkat Ali extract experienced significant improvements in both sperm quality and sperm count. These results continued for months after the study and Tongkat Ali consumption had ceased.
A follow-up analysis of semen from these 75 subjects was taken several months after the conclusion of the study when the benefits of Tongkat Ali consumption should have worn off.
These men had not consumed any of the supplement between the end of the study and the follow-up analysis. The results still showed significant improvements in all semen parameters examined.
There have been cases where Tongkat Ali extract consumption has led to the complete disappearance of refractory periods during sexual encounters, leading to a rare phenomenon in men of multiple orgasms.
Between harder erections, higher libido, larger quantities of sperm presence, and ejaculatory power increases, Tongkat Ali might be the magical potion men have been searching for since the beginning of time.
While most men are not purchasing and consuming Tongkat Ali in the hopes to impregnate their partner, this side effect can be pleasant or unpleasant depending on your family planning routine. The same study performed to determine increases in semen volume and quality tracked new pregnancies coming to fruition in the time spent during and after the study.
The results showed an incredible 15% increase in new pregnancies by members of the study who had ingested Tongkat Ali.
While it is true (and scientifically proven many times) that Tongkat Ali usage can and will increase libido, improve sperm volume, and increase ejaculatory power and fertility, there is no scientific evidence that the supplement can increase penis length and girth or testicle size.
The reality of the situation is that increased stimulation of Leydig cells in boys going through puberty sparks the initial growth of the penis and testicles. As mentioned in the testosterone increase section above, Tongkat Ali extract activates these Leydig cells to increase hormone production.
“The EL group showed higher scores in the overall Erectile Function domain in IIEF (P < 0.001), sexual libido (14% by week 12), SFA- with sperm motility at 44.4%, and semen volume at 18.2% at the end of treatment. Subjects with BMI ≥ 25 kg/m2 significantly improved in fat mass lost (P = 0.008). All safety parameters were comparable to placebo.”
Ismail, S.B., et. al. (2012). “Randomized Clinical Trial on the Use of PHYSTA Freeze-Dried Water Extract of Eurycoma longifolia for the Improvement of Quality of Life and Sexual Well-Being in Men“, in Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine.
12 weeks supplementation of 300mg of a water extract of Eurycoma noted a general improvement of well-being in otherwise healthy men. Persons with a BMI above 25 noted minor weight loss, and erectile and libido increased in the 8.4-8.7% range. Seminal parameters improved with more efficacy in those with poorer baseline parameters, although hormonal parameters in serum were unaffected.“ Quote was taken from Examiner.com

Extract from pomegranate, also known as ellagic acid, is another crucial ingredient in the Male Extra formula. The role of this substance is simple, it should increase your erection hardness by supplying better blood flow to your penile region.
This effect has been demonstrated by following research study:
“This randomized-controlled trial examined the efficacy of wonderful variety pomegranate juice versus placebo in improving erections in 53 completed subjects with mild to moderate erectile dysfunction. … Of the 42 subjects who demonstrated improvement in GAQ scores after beverage consumption, 25 reported improvement after drinking pomegranate juice. Further, 17 subjects showed preference of one beverage to the other. Subjects were more likely to have improved scores when pomegranate juice was consumed (P=0.058).“
You can read more about it in this study:
“Pomegranate juice (PJ), which is a rich source of potent flavonoid antioxidants, was tested for its capacity to protect nitric oxide (NO) against oxidative destruction and enhance the biological actions of NO. Employing chemiluminescence headspace analysis, PJ was found to be a potent inhibitor of superoxide anion-mediated disappearance of NO. PJ was much more potent than Concord grape juice, blueberry juice, red wine, ascorbic acid, and DL-alpha-tocopherol.”
The best part? According to the research study published in 2005, This substance also contributes to the health of your cardiovascular system.
MSM (METHYL SULFONYL METHANE)
“A decrease in exercise-induced oxidation is noted with MSM supplementation and thought to be the underlying reason for reductions in muscle damage and soreness. The degree of reduction seems to be notable, as the increase in MDA and protein carbonylation were fully abolished.”
VITAMIN B3 (NICOTINAMIDE)
According to this research study, Vitamin B3 helps men to increase blood flow into the penis by relaxing your blood vessels leading to a much better erection:
“The primary outcome measure was the improvement in erectile function as assessed by question 3 and question 4 of the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF Q3 and Q4). Secondary outcome measurements included the total IIEF score, IIEF-erectile function domain, and the Sexual Health Inventory for Men (SHIM) score. Niacin alone can improve the erectile function in patients suffering from moderate to severe ED and dyslipidemia.”
The best part? Niacin will help you to reduce fatigue as well (vitamin B does that pretty effectively) so you will have more stamina during sex.
Zinc deficiency is extremely widespread throughout the world, and even a mild zinc deficiency will quickly lower your serum testosterone concentration.
A low zinc diet stops the pituitary gland from being able to release the luteinizing and follicle stimulating hormones that stimulate testosterone production in the testes.
A diet that supplied inadequate zinc reduced the number of androgen receptor sites by 40 percent in a rodent study, and estrogen receptor sites increased by 60 percent!
It is contributing to the production of testosterone; a hormone whose low levels can minimize your libido and weaken your erections.
Not only that, it can enhance your orgasms and even raise the production of semen. Sadly, most men don’t get enough zinc in their diet these days.
Zinc is a natural estrogen inhibitor that significantly reduces the conversion of testosterone to estrogen in a man’s body. Men with to high of estrogen levels generally suffer from a higher fat content, low energy, a higher risk of prostate problems. Some men may even experience puffy or sore nipples along with breast enlargement due to a high estrogen level.
A research study from 1996 concluded that zinc plays a crucial role in testosterone production:
“Zinc supplementation of marginally zinc-deficient normal elderly men for six months resulted in an increase in serum testosterone from 8.3 +/- 6.3 to 16.0 +/- 4.4 nmol/L (p = 0.02). We conclude that zinc may play an important role in modulating serum testosterone levels in normal men.”
Another research study published in the Journal of Urology pointed out the relationship between increased testosterone and sexual arousal of men:
“Testosterone treated subjects had greater improvement in erectile function compared to those who received placebo, reaching statistical significance at week 4 (4.4 vs 2.1, p = 0.029, 95.1% CI 0.3, 4.7). Similar trends were observed for improvements in orgasmic function, overall satisfaction, total IIEF score and percentage of IIEF responders.“
It was observed that in PS‐treated group, there was an increase in testosterone levels (ng ml−1) on days 30 (6.82%), 60 (3.09%) and 90 (20.45%) with respect to day ‘0’. The increment of testosterone levels on day ‘90’ was significant (P < 0.05) with respect to the values of day ‘0’. In placebo‐treated group, there was a significant (P < 0.05) decreasing trend of testosterone level. https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/and.12482 Shilajit is also a safe supplement for male infertility. In one study, a group of 60 infertile men took shilajit twice a day for 90 days after meals. At the end of the 90-day period, more than 60 percent of the study participants showed an increase in total sperm count. More than 12 percent had an increase in sperm motility. Sperm motility refers to the ability of the sperm in a sample to move adequately, an important part of fertility. https://www.healthline.com/health/shilajit#benefits
The maca root is grown high in the mountains of Peru. It is a natural hormonal balancer good for both men and women and it is high in nutritional value. The Spanish conquistadors called it the “sex herb of incas” and it was said that they would eat maca before going to battle for strength and endurance. Women in south America have used Maca for thousands of years. They used it to maintain stamina, reduce the effects of stress, and prevent fatigue.
The maca root can be great for increasing the libido and ease some of the symptoms of menopause. It can also help to increase energy, stamina, memory, and it works great for depression too. It is safe and natural and can improve your marriage and sexual life as well enhances and balances every aspect of your mentality. Athletes are starting to recognize this wonderful maca root for its great energy source. It can help to restore adrenal glands that produce adrenaline that can improve endurance for athletes.
Although the evidence may be lacking, psychiatrist and functional medicine physician Hyla Cass, MD, says maca works. “In my practice, I have seen maca restore hormonal imbalance and related sexual desire and fertility in both men and women.”
Chris Kilham, author of Hot Plants, says, “Maca enjoys a very long history of successful medicinal use for menopausal discomfort, infertility, and sexual healing. The question is not whether it works — because we know it works with certainty — but how it works.”
The results of our systematic review provide limited evidence for the effectiveness of maca in the improvement of sexual function. However, the total number of trials, the total sample size, and the average methodological quality of the primary studies were too limited to draw firm conclusions. Moreover, our current knowledge of the risks of maca intake is insufficient. More rigorous studies are warranted.
